Urlfreeze News The current top squad in Major League Baseball are receiving the spoils of being the league’s best thanks to a collaborative project that will soon become a reality. On May 22nd, the Philly fanatic mascot will take the field to provide its usual entertainment and jest to the hometown fans at Citizens Bank Park, doing so in a custom pair of Dunks fit for the costume. As it turns out, Nike will actually be releasing the shoes exclusively in the city of Brotherly Love, but remember — we saw a pair of Phillies Dunks boys black lunar force nike boots 2017.
Designed in collaboration with Philadelphia-based boutiques Lapstone & Hammer and Creme, the Nike Dunk Low “Philly” could be interpreted as a reflection of the hard-nosed, blue-collar attitude of its citizens via the stark grey exterior above a white leather base. Hairy suede covers the heel, while a grey splatter pattern appears at the forefoot overlays and the Swoosh, but a colorful graphic exists on the interior, tongue label, and on the PHILLY text on the heel – possibly a nod to the well-known murals that decorate the city. Additional Philly call-outs appear via the map coordinates on the laces.
The Nike Dunk Low “Philly” will be dropping exclusively at retailers in Philly, starting with its co-creators Lapstone & Hammer and Creme on May 30th. A wider launch at Philadelphia-based shops is scheduled for June 1st.
