The GEL-QUANTUM ZIENTZIA by Kiko Kostadinov is officially back in 2024. Debuting last year in just one black/royal Comprida colorway, this Kiko-designed model, featuring the cushioning unit from 2021’s GEL-QUANTUM LEVITRACK, is confirmed to release once again based on an Instagram post from the Bulgarian designer himself.
Although that official teaser doesn’t disclose what’s coming, this images shared by fanpage @kiko_kurative reveal what could potentially be available for this Spring/Summer ’24 drop. Finished in matte metallic overlays, the GEL-QUANTUM ZIENTZIA appears in both an deep-aquatic blend of Comprida shades, while a second in a neon and forest green sit atop a black mesh base.
As you know, this Kiko-designed cushioning unit, Tiger was designed at the ASICS Institute of Sport Science in Japan, was used in recent in-line releases of the GEL-QUANTUM Kinetic model. Despite not being an actual collaboration, fans embraced this model as it drew closely to both the prized LEVITRACK AND ZIENTZIA models.
The “What” is still a mystery as official details have yet to be revealed. We do know the “When” and “Where”; this return is earmarked for May 10th, 2024 exclusively in Japan and on Kiko Kostadinov’s website. Stay tuned for further updates.
