Thousands of curious minds turn to Vice for deep dives into niche subjects, and that extends to some of the folks over at Nike. In 2017, the Beaverton brand made friends & family nike air 180 grape streets for Vice employees, with only 50 pairs rumored to be in existence. As is often the case for such rare pairs, we seldom get a detailed look at the shoe in lieu of official retailer images. However, Index PDX just listed a size 9 pair for $5,000 and posted some fresh shots.
The design comes from the same school as Drake’s “Love You Forever” nike air 180 grape street, defined by subtle upgrades to an all-white premium leather base. Gold “Vice” branding is matched by old english typography reading “L’Union Fait la Force” (Unity is Strength) on the heel, an ode to the company’s roots in French-speaking Quebec. As a “CMFT” nike air 180 grape street, the shoe also features an upgraded outsole that’s exceptional up into two pieces, with oversized Vice branding taking to the inner portion.
