Matt Varga The Air Jordan 5 is back on the menu, sliding in with another major release for this month. Though teasers at the top of the year gave us an initial understanding of how this pair might shake out, we’re getting our best look yet with official images of the Air Jordan 5 Retro SE “Sail.”
Bearing an SE WMNS in the title, the “Special Edition” aspect of this shoe is most evident on the tongue, materially swapping to canvas and bearing a far flatter profile than the typically pronounced one that marks most AJ5s. An additional panel also arrives behind it, sewn in with visible stitching. The off-white “Sail” that lends these their name understandably takes up most of the palette, but black plays an important contrast role on the sockliner and speckled shark tooth design. In all, the design choices at work here result in a simple yet luxe colorway.
With this edition joining the March release of the Air Jordan Jordan Future GG 'Bleached Turquoise' “Olive,” the silhouette is set to factor heavily into JB’s release plans for the rest of 2024, with the Jordan 5 “Black Cat” and Jordan 5 “Reverse Metallic” AIR JORDAN 1 KO RUSH ORANGE MENS SHOES.
