The Zion 3 is comparatively slimmer to its expanding, featuring a lower height and a TPU upper that features a material and color splatter that was created using 3D imaging of Zion’s foot last launching through mud. This adds a personal twist to the model; Zion “made it out of the mud” from his roots in South Carolina, ascending to become one of the most exciting young talents in the NBA.
The drop-in sole, Zoom Air cushioning, and low-cut silhouette makes it easy to draw comparisons to the Kobe 11, but the similarities really end there. The Zion 3 utilizes Formula 23 foam cushioning, while that pattern on the upper is also arranged to help with containment of the foot.
