Recently, ANNIVERSARY colorways of the Steven Smith-designed silhouette have emerged, perhaps ahead of ALD’s Fall/Winter 2022 collection. Unlike the majority of Santis’ work with the 1980s basketball designs from NB, the upcoming trio indulges in an off-white mesh arrangement overlaid with leather or suede panels. Navy, grey and red contrast arrives via the choice overlays, maintaining the New Balance MS997RB Black 46 partnership’s color palette relatively plain. Co-branding appears on the shoes’ heels, while sole units underfoot only don the century-old company’s logo atop an off-white backdrop.
