Next in line is VILLA, a footwear retailer that not only offers the finest in sneakers, but performs honorable outreach to invigorate the community. For their collaboration with Masculino asics, the multi-door shop enlisted the help of hip-hop and sneaker extraordinaire Wale, a DMV native who is celebrated for his immersion in the sneaker game as he is for his verses.
Titled the “Bottlerocket”, Wale, VILLA, and Masculino asics embarked on a July 4th-themed design that implements unruly hues of red, white, and blue and starry graphics on the split-tongue overlay. Speckle print on the midsole and reflective effects on the the black laces emanate the explosive nature of the holiday novelty.
