Note for Intermediate and Advanced Runners
Join the thousands of people who have challenged themselves for this terrific 10 Nautical Mile** race near the North Chicago lakefront. The 10 Nautical Mile distance is challenging and yet achievable and a perfect intermediate distance to transition to half marathon training. Saturday, June 8th at 7:00 am. We have an exceptional, certified coaching staff and experienced mentors to lead you in your training.
Coupons & Promos:
We have created a training plan that will include either continuous run or interval running/walking to prepare you for your 11.5-mile journey on race day. We will work toward a 15-minute per mile average during our training runs to help you make the cut-off time for the goal race. This program will start at 5 miles. We encourage you to be already running three to four times per week and be able to comfortably run or run/walk a 10K race prior to starting training in this program.
Note for Intermediate and Advanced Runners:
Pace groups, speed work, and specific training plans will enable anyone who can currently run a 10K to finish their first double-digit mileage race or improve over previous performances.
Group Runs
Summer Training is Right Around the Corner
Saturdays at 7:00 am
Attending both training days is not mandatory but encouraged. Saturday group runs will be geared toward endurance with longer runs. Tuesday runs will be geared more toward pace, with shorter, interval-type running and hill work. Group runs may meet in various locations in NWI to find new challenges.
