A tentpole product in NB’s product strategy, the Futura x Nike SB Dunk Low has already received half a dozen new looks in the past month. Adding to that growing 2024 catalog, a new variation in trademark “Granite” is set to join the mix next week.
A tried and true formula for runner styles across the industry, this newest 9060 is entirely neutral-clad. More specific to New Balance, they reside in the shades of grey that the Boston brand has made their living on for nearly all of their history, with “Metallic” maintaining the suede upper, and an adjacent, barely rosy “Pink Metallic” dressed just underneath.
Helping them stand out from the pack is the “Granite,” off-white shade that takes up the midsole, no doubt a slight nod to aged, vintage trends. In this moderate mode, the colorway instead cedes space to the 9060’s design, helping draw attention to the futuristic hardware that made the model so successful in the first place.
While this specific release doesn’t rise to the level of receiving inclusion in it, they stand as one of the first pairs unveiled in the wake of the just-announced Air Jordan 11 Low "Space Jam" program. Instead, they are on the docket for a February 15th release at 10AM, bearing a sticker price of $150.
