Cali DeWitt Brings “Crystal White” And “Core Black” Makeovers To The adidas NMD S1

As adidas continues to churn out solo endeavors, the Three Stripes also keeps tapping creative minds from an array of Originals for special projects. The latest?: Los Angeles-based photographer, director, and designer Cali DeWitt.

Color-wise, DeWitt’s adidas NMD S1 alexander isn’t too attention grabbing, boasting muted “Crystal White,” “Footwear White,” and “Dash Grey” tones. The sneaker, however, features a seemingly-haphazard pattern throughout both the Primeknit upper and Boost midsole. The multi-hyphenate further leaves his mark on the sneaker via a bold red signature on each shoes’ tongue labels. DeWitt’s adidas NMD project resembles a sculpture, with upper and bottom halves seeing little to no “breaks.” Lastly, trefoil studs deliver reliable traction to the artistic take by DeWitt.
