Breathable mesh bases take on an Air Max Plus-reminiscent gradient that’s complemented by shimmering Trail synthetic overlays at the sides. Curved structures environing the heel divvy up shades of light blue and the aforementioned Trail to create a future-forward look. Logos and other detailing on the tongue introduce a darker shade of blue, but Nike Shox technology underfoot overpowers any semblance of the sky with its grayscale finish. It’s possible the offering will lead the charge for a Shox retro run, but time will tell.
