The Nike Air Griffey Max 1 “Varsity Royal” Is Releasing In Full Family Sizes

The very colorway was last released in 2016, when the former Seattle Mariners player was inducted into the Hall of Fame. However, its roots date back to the 2009 return of the silhouette. It consists of a white leather base that is offset by rather aggressive Varsity Royal overlays that wrap around the model, while the sliver of white that’s left is interrupted by a black Swoosh on the toe. Further decorating the bold preschool is a lockdown ankle strap that’s embossed with text reading “NIKE” and features a rubber overlay that reads “24.” Completing the throwback release is an irregularly-shaped white sole unit that echoes ’90s sneaker styles.
