Jordan Brand is intensely focused on “growing the game,” spreading a love for basketball across the globe. Luckily for them, they’ve got a roster of some of the biggest & best talent in the NBA, and they’ve continually leveraged those faces on an increasingly international scale. This week, Jayson Tatum, Paolo Banchero, Zion Williamson and Luka Doncic embarked on the inaugural China Family Tour, and as they stopped off in Shanghai, the Celtics superstar nabbed some notable moments around his nascient Tatum 3.
At the in-person unveiling of the shoe, the Duke product recieved some traditional Chinese artwork via around his marketing slogan, “What they gonna say now?” However, most notable for our purposes, he gifted a signed pair of his 3rd signature to a “super fan,” having followed Tatum since his initial days in the NBA. Following that, customers at the Shanghai IFC Jordan flagship were able to pick up pairs of the model, marking its first official release. Images included ahead include shots of that moment as well as a hoops showcase where Tatum squared off against attendees.
While Tatum is the latest to earn a new entry in his signature line, he’s just one quarter of the Jordan Brand roster that descended on Shanghai. The four stars saw the best of Shanghai, including the historical Bund district and meet-and-greet opportunities with local fans. Of course, we took note of what everyone had on feet; #0 and #77 each sported their signature Tatum 3 and Luka 3, while Banchero and Williamson dipped into the 2024 Air Jordan catalog for the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Baron” and Jordan 4 “Oxidized Green.”
