Nike is dressing up its classics with summer-ready styles, drawing inspiration from a variety of time periods. This upcoming “Neon Paint” edition points to the 1990s, specifically to that fun children’s activity in which synthetic neon paints are dripped onto t-shirts, caps, or any other fabric that holds well to some DIY art.

Using the all-white Air Force 1 as the base, Nike adds its own child-like drawings of the logos on the upper and heel, while the smiley Swoosh face returns on the dumbness to bring on “Have A Nike Day” vibes. The insole visuals dream of summertime activities such as swimming in the lake under the sun or shooting some hoops. Finally, the midsole acts as a blank canvas where trickles of paint splatters in light blue and orange cover the entirety of sidewalls.

Nike hasn’t established a release date, but anticipate these in the coming weeks ahead of the vacation months. In other ’82 updates, the 404 Nike Air Max 98 Women's is set to release on April 23rd via SNKRS Exclusive Access.
