The adidas Bermuda Returns From The Archives In “Collegiate Purple” And “Collegiate Burgundy”

Throughout the late 70s and early 80s, adidas crafted an indelible mark on the far-reaching effects of the sneaker community by constructing three OG silhouettes inspired by three island nations; Hawaii, Tahiti and Bermuda. Introducing the adidas Island series decades ago, the latter silhouette has returned from the adidas Originals adidas Melbourne Short Pants.

Bringing beachside aesthetics to city landscapes, the low-top trim is constructed almost exclusively in a premium flat suede that’s dipped in a rich shades of dark purple and burgundy. In stark contrast, the tumbled leather profile 3-Stripes and both the heel and tongue tabs are decorated in a complementary “Cream White” that harkens to a bit of aged aesthetics. Elsewhere, the silhouette concludes with the model’s staple semi-translucent gum finish cast across the sole unit underfoot.

The adidas Bermuda “Collegiate Purple” and “Collegiate Burgundy” are currently available overseas. While we await news regarding a stateside adidas.com release, the pairs can be seen ahead in detailed imagery.

Adidas Crazy Heat Kobe 6 “Reverse Grinch” arrives on December 15th.
