Teddy Santis arguably can do no wrong. His Black for the New Balance Made in USA platform has consistently sold out, while Stone Island x New Balance RC Elite V2_SI continues to leave a global impression. Ahead of spring, another NB 550 duo by the Queens-native has hit social media.
Unlike past versions of the design by Steven Smith, the unreleased New Balance Hihaton T-paita Accelerate Printed pairs feature hairy suede throughout their uppers instead of perforated leather. Breathable textile lays underneath, staying true to the 34-year-old blueprint. The two new styles are expected for a springtime debut, but their brown makeovers suggest a Fall/Winter 2023 launch. Nevertheless, co-branding lands on the tongue labels, sockliners, and spine, as well as on the shoeboxes. Sole units also don an strained white finish that play into the NB 550’s vintage appeal.
