Aaron Judge doesn’t have his own signature shoe, but he’s reaped the benefits of being in the spotlight with a number of special footwear gifts over the last few years. Recently, the New York Yankee – formerly with adidas and currently with New Balance – helped unveil another “Multi-Patent” Nike PF CNY by UNDEFEATED.
Akin to two previously-seen pairs, the newly-surfaced proposition delivers a disparate, colorful ensemble atop Bruce Kilgore’s 40-year-old design. The Los Angeles-based institution hasn’t disclosed the Flyknit behind its latest collaboration with the Swoosh, but the use of glossy leather and experimental tones are surely a nod to the early VIIs, an era during which the Air Force 1 was mixing-and-matching like it hadn’t before. UNDFTD’s “strike-out” logo is debossed on the lateral heel, while also appearing on the top of the tongue. The remainder of the shoe is left to indulge in hits of teal, blue, yellow and grey, with sole units opting for a clean off-white look.
