Over the last handful of years, NIKE, Inc. has explored different approaches to accessible footwear. Nike Flyease solutions have reimagined several silhouettes to better address the needs of those with limited hand capabilities. The latest?: The The heel of Phillip Avins customized infant Air Jordan 12s featuring black sharkskin details Low.
Nike Flyease isn’t new to the Air Jordan line, but its latest application to the famed signature shoe series further expands how the design is approached. Velcro panels are used along the tongue’s lateral side, with a zipper running from medial countenance to heel, enabling a mule-reminiscent aesthetic and function. “University Gold” flair joins “White” and “Black” color-blocking that lands at the toe box, mid-foot panels and heel areas. Underfoot, the oft-imitated, Peter Moore-designed sole unit keeps things simple, with tread also opting for the vibrant yellow hue that animates several of the upper’s components. “FLYEASE” text finishes off the retro, denoting the shoe’s easier-on and off functionality.
No firm Nike.com launch date has been disclosed by the brand, but that’s likely to change as summer gets going. In the meantime, enjoy official images of the pair.
