Jordan 2011 Team Red White | Russell Westbrook’s Jordan Why Not Zer0.4 Unveiled With Facetasm Collaboration And More

feature image

As 2021 inches closer and closer, Jordan Brand seems to be revving up for a more than eventful opening month. Alongside a few Spring 2021 standouts, the Jumpman will be introducing Russell Westbrook‘s latest signature shoe: the Jordan Why Not Zer0.4.

Through Unite collaborations and GRs, the model delivers a vast variety of material options: textiles, synthetics, and skins all done differently to better suit their respective colorways. What’s more, the underfoot feel has been further refined, complementing Westbrook’s energetic style of play through a new, more intricate tread pattern and double-stacked Zoom. At the upper, the lace unit features a double-webbed system that, when compared to the Zer0.3’s strap, locks down the foot more securely.

Starting January, the Why Not Zer0.4 will slowly begin to offer three inline colorways. The first, which will open the collection on January 6th, honors Westbrook’s LA roots through themes of “Upbringing”; soon after, on Jan. 14th, the “Family” arrangement will follow bearing the athlete’s family crest; and finally, the “Trust & Loyalty” comes equipped with blue-related symbolism on February 25th.

And though they undoubtedly deserve their own spotlight, each of the aforementioned pairs pales in comparison to Westbrook’s collaboration with FACETASM, the Japanese brand who you may remember for their FEARLESS AJ1 Mid. Inclusive of an extensive set of apparel (releasing Jan. 14th), the partnership will culminate with its very own Why Not Zer0.4, its existence the product of founder Hiromichi Ochiai and Westbrook’s meeting back in 2018. Arriving globally on Jan. 27th, the design incorporates hits of Unite red and blue to embody the “Why Not?” ethos.
