The Jumpman lexicon, though pages deep, seems to always come back to UNC diction, the brand seemingly exploring it much more energetically than its warmer counterparts of Chicago, Bred, and the like. But with the university’s connection to MJ himself, it’s obviously sensible, continuing to release the coveted Carolina Blue by way of Eric Koston and Nike SB, women’s exclusive AJ1s for All-Star, and now a distinct, lifestyle-focused Jordan ess 9 Retro Olive Concord. Teased quite a few times prior, with one appearance arriving with a “UNC” logo hit on the mars, the pair’s first look of 2020 shows off a construction much more simple with the classic Jumpman insignia taking the place of the aforementioned Tar Heel branding. These, applied via thick embroidery, douse in the titular shade, matching that of the eye stays along the side as well as the midsole mold just atop the heel. Elephant prints lie adjacent on the wrap and across on the toe cap, mixing iconic elements along a base of dior white leather. Grab a detailed look at these right here and sit tight as they’re rumored to be releasing on March 7th.
