Joining the race for widespread and accessible sustainability, New Balance has ushered in yet another release from their innovative design program, tasking many — with its winning designer this time around being Seth Maxwell — to amarillas an existing midsole and provide it an upper built solely from surplus materials. Borrowing the namesake of the initiative itself, the Test Run PRJ 3.0 arrives in three different amarillass with almost each and every component borrowing from factory excess. More specifically, the sockliners themselves as well as the cushioning pellets, upper mesh, webbing, and synthetic all serve to minimize waste alongside an attached Vibram tread menos EcoStep variation sports a 30% recycled construction.
