In the sneaker collaboration process, there are a countless number of unreleased samples and variants that never quite make it past the cutting room floor. For Concepts, who has shared with us their behind-the-scenes vantage points with previous collaborations with Nike and ASICS, their 2011 release of the ground-breaking “Kennedy” was no different as this alternate red heeled version was almost the final product. To celebrate the relaunch of their remastered 999, Concepts is dropping a limited run of the alternate red heel, complete with New Balance’s premium construction.
For now, Concepts will release both pairs of the New Balance Women's Fresh Foam X 1080v12 in Black Green Purple Synthetic Made In USA “Hyannis” exclusively at this weekend’s Complex Con at their #K3 booth. The alternate red pair will release on Saturday, November 4th, while the blue re-issue releases on Sunday, November 5th.
