Detroit’s favorite sneaker shop Burn Rubber pays tribute to The Notorious B.I.G. ahead of his birthday on May 21st with the Reebok Sock Runner Ultraknit Unisex ZA “Detroit Playas”. Constructed in premium pink nubuck and gator-textured leather, the shoe references when Biggie showed love to Detroit with the lyrics in his hit song Hypnotize: “…Stink. Pink gators, my Detroit playas.” Burn Rubber’s addition to Reebok Classic’s Year of Court collabs utilizes the Phase 1 tennis silhouette with the luxurious and stylish pink gator makeover, completed with tonal Burn Rubber branding on the tongue and a gum rubber outsole. The “Detroit Playas” Phase 1 will release exclusively at Burn Rubber in-store and online (burnrubbersneakers.com) on April 30th.
