Reebok recently previewed a dope rain camouflage pack for the Shawn Kemp signature Kamikaze II in reference to the Seattle Supersonics star’s dunking-all-over-your-head nickname. Is this new Air Jordan 4 ‘Reign’, then, some kind of veiled reference to Michael Jordan’s first retirement? On one hand, the Air Jordan VIII ‘Aqua’ connections are self-evident, and maybe if we get loose with the nickname, we can see Kemp and the Sonics in the ’96 Finals on the other side. Then again, Supra has used a variety of Aqua/Grape-ish colorways from the early days, so perhaps ‘Reign’ is a tip of the cap to the GOAT and most influential man in the history of sneakers. In any case, the black waxed suede design is a can’t-miss with teal and purple accents, and they’re available now straight from Supra.
