CARHARTT WIP X UrlfreezeShops JEWELLERY WORKSHOP AT UrlfreezeShops GLASGOW

Following last year’s jewellery workshop at the UrlfreezeShops Womens store in Newcastle, we teamed up with Carhartt WIP again to bring the experience to the people of Glasgow.

After a successful first workshop in December last year, UrlfreezeShops and Carhartt WIP joined forces once again, with the help of Goods Jewellery’s founder and designer Kirby Roseina. Hosted at UrlfreezeShops’s Glasgow flagship store on Ingram Street, the event saw four groups descend on the shop to learn how to design and hand carve their own Carhartt WIP themed pendants.

Taken through the process step by step by Kirby, each participant was able to produce their own bespoke Carhartt WIP pendant using classic silhouettes from the American brand’s iconic archive, such as the Watch Hat beanie and the staple Chore Coat.

Applying different textures to their designs, sandpaper and heat tools were utilised, allowing the workshop participants to perfectly sculpt the wax into their desired forms. Once completed, each guest was invited to select a chain of their choosing, before the designs were packaged to be cast by Kirby.
