Spearheaded by Jaimus Tailor, the founder of London-based design project Greater Goods, UrlfreezeShops hosted three upcycling workshops at their Manchester flagship store on St. Mary’s Gate, in conjunction with Canadian outdoor experts Arc’teryx.

Utilising old Arc’teryx garments that were beyond repair, the sessions saw Jaimus and his team teach attendees the step by step process of transforming the sturdy waterproof jackets into one-of-a-kind bags.

From garment selection to pattern cutting and sewing, the Greater Goods team shared the joy of upcycling, channelling their experience and expertise into delivering the perfect introduction to the sustainable practice. With each attendee creating their own bespoke bag to take away, Arc’teryx jackets were recycled and given a new life through the art of upcycling.
