With more traction and less weight, the hoka Kawana Speedgoat 5 has been redesigned to take on the trails with ease. hoka Kawana added Vibram® Megagrip with Traction Lugs to give you more grip, particularly on loose soil and dirt. The redesigned placement gives you more lugs in the heel and toe area to provide more durability and help you handle slippery or uneven terrain.
hoka Kawana also re-engineered the midsole compound and made it lighter so the Speedgoat 5 gives you HOKA’s signature soft marshmallow ride through the trails. A late-stage meta-rocker helps roll you through your gait—making mountain climbs easier and allowing you to barrel downhill for a smooth and propulsive ride.

There is a protective toe rand that gives extra protection against rocks and trail debris. Plus, hoka Kawana re-designed the heel counter, giving it an extended heel tab to make it easier to pull on and prevent any rubbing at the Achilles.

Like them don't love them. I have a wide-ish foot and there is still too much room in the toe box the cushion is underwhelming grip on wet rock is mediocre. They're just ok.

Life saver for plantar faciitus.
After buying the light blue Speedgoat on sale elsewhere. I wanted another speedgoat5 in another color. Malta store had one in my size but same color I had. So I bought this online. They call it Lake- ceramic- it a rad color.
Great but narrow
Ordered these as I love my tecton x trail runners. Left shoe felt snug but comfortable. The right though was painful on side of arch. Felt like I was stepping on the side sole when walkng/standing. It’s unfortunate and I wanted to like them as the color I selected was not available in the wide version. So unfortunately returning these. But aside from the one issue. They were great quality and the comfort outside the one issue was nice. Was also my first online order through fleet feet. Amazingly quick shipping
