the wooly mammoth of socks
Love these socks. The compression in the forward mid-foot area is really nice and I love the quarter height. I only wish they had a touch more cushion in the heel and ball area - like the balega hidden comfort socks do. BUT these are definitely one of my first choice for a long run. They have the typical slipperyness that you find in wool blend socks but I like that in my various pairs of running shoes. Makes it easier to put on the shoes and for me helps prevent hot spots.

Very cushy
These are great socks. They have nice support and are soft while maintaining their shape. Also my feet don't slide around or get too sweaty. Feels like I'm transitioning to becoming an up-scale runner without a significant fiscal investment.
